What TokScript is

TokScript is an all-in-one tool for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. It turns any video into a transcript, analytics, and creator intelligence with one click. Open a video in the Chrome extension, or paste a link from TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or a long-form YouTube video, and TokScript returns the spoken words as clean, timestamped text in seconds. It also downloads the actual video, the cover image, and the caption, and captures the full data for every video — views, likes, comments, shares, bookmarks, the transcript, the caption, video duration, and the time and date posted — along with complete creator analytics. Transcripts can be translated into 16 languages, run through built-in AI agents, and saved to a searchable cloud library. Everything runs on one account across the Chrome extension, a web dashboard, and an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT.

Supported platforms

• TikTok: transcripts, downloads of the video, cover image, and caption, full video data, whole-profile and Collection imports, and full creator analytics. TikTok is the deepest and most common use.
• Instagram: Reels transcripts, downloads, and video data.
• YouTube: Shorts and long-form videos for transcripts. Long-form YouTube video download is not supported; transcription and cover-image download work.

Video data export

TokScript exports all of a video's data, not just the transcript. Each export includes the views, likes, comments, shares, bookmarks, the transcript, the caption, the video duration, and the time and date posted. Exports come in four AI-ready formats: TXT, XML, JSON, and CSV. You can bulk export an entire creator's videos into one clean file in the format that fits your tool and prompt.

Creator analytics

Visit any creator's profile and TokScript instantly shows the data TikTok hides, computed from the video data already loaded in your browser:

• View statistics: total views, most viewed video, and mean and median views across the whole library or just the last 15 videos.
• Engagement breakdown: total, mean, and median for likes, comments, shares, and saves, plus a real calculated engagement rate based on actual interactions, not follower counts.
• Long vs short mix: the percentage of content under 60 seconds vs over 60 seconds.
• Common video durations: where a creator's video lengths cluster (under 10s, 10–30s, 30s–1m, 1–2m, 2–3m, 3m and up).
• Daily posting frequency: post counts per day of the week with a weekly posting chart.
• Posting heatmap: a full-year heatmap of posting frequency by day, with year-over-year history.
• Virality distribution: how every video performs relative to the creator's own median (0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x and up).
• Content categories: automatic topic detection with video counts and percentages.
• Progress tracking: how many of a creator's videos have been analyzed versus their total library.

Bulk link import

In the Chrome extension, click the TokScript icon and, no matter what website you are on, a pop-up opens where you can paste up to 50 TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube links at once, choose a destination folder in your dashboard, and import the whole batch with one click.

Collection & playlist import

Paste a single link to a public TikTok collection or a creator's playlist and TokScript automatically imports and transcribes every video in it, up to 3,000 videos, with automatic metadata preservation and series or topic organization.

MCP connector

TokScript ships an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector: a single URL you paste into Claude or ChatGPT that gives the AI direct access to TokScript's 22 tools without leaving the chat. Ask an AI assistant to pull a transcript, download a video, analyze a creator's library, compare engagement, or import a profile or collection, and it returns the data inside the conversation. Privacy

All data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. TokScript only reads data from the TikTok API responses that are already being sent to your browser as you browse normally. It does not make additional requests, and nothing leaves your browser without your explicit action.
